Simple Multiple Timeframe Moving Average is a powerful client side auto trader for VertexFX Trading Terminal. The basic working principle of the EA is to take differences of Moving Averages values at various time frames and open and close orders accordingly. After attaching the EA to chart it calculates the simple Moving averages for all the time frames and opens or closes the Positions based on the Moving Average comparison.
By Default EA uses moving averages values of One Hour and Four Hour timeframes placing long and short position and close them accordingly.
The EA first checks the total number of positions and If there are no positions opened and If the moving average value for One Hour and Four Hour time frame for the current Bar is less than value for the previous bar then sell order is placed and this opened position is get closed If the moving average value for One Hour & Four Hour timeframe for the current bar is greater than the values for the previous bar.
Similarly Buy orders are placed if If the moving average value of One Hour & Four Hour timeframe for the current bar is greater than value for the previous bar and this opened position is closed If the moving average value of One Hour & Four Hour timeframe for the current Bar is less than value for the previous bar.
Configurable Inputs
1. Lots – Specifies the position amount used to place or close an order. If Lots less than 0.1, the expert advisor optimizes it to 0.1. Hence the minimum amount should be always 0.1.
2. MovingPeriod– Specifies the moving period used to calculate the simple moving average.
3. Moving Shift– Specifies the shift for the moving average calculation. For example: if Moving shift is 15, the moving average value for the current chart is calculated from the 15th bar previous to the current bar.
