The Simple Moving Averages that are used are not calculated using closing price but rather each bar’s midpoints. AO is generally used to affirm trends or to anticipate possible reversals.

The Aroon indicators is a client side VTL Script , that measure the number of periods since price recorded x-day high or low.

BEARS is a client side VTL script which will combine the properties of trend following indicators and oscillators. They use Exponential Moving Average indicator (EMA, the best period is 13) as a tracing indicator.
