Smoothing Average EA

Smoothing Average is a client side VTL expert adviser. Smoothing Average EA is based on  moving average and a “smoothing factor” defined as a percentage of the last traded price.

The strategy rules are:
Entry Rules
1. Buy when price is above the moving average + smoothing factor
2. Sell when price is below the moving average – smoothing factor
Exit Rules
1. Close the position when a fixed target or stop loss is hit
2. Close the position when a trade in the opposite direction triggers.

The default MA used is 50 period simple moving average. The MA period, target, stoploss and lot size to trade can be set in the VTL script with the parameters at the top of the script.

By setting the stop loss and take profit to 0, Smoothing Average EA can run always at the market mode. The recommended time frames to use Smoothing Average EA is 30 minutes or higher.

Usage

• Download the attachment.
• Copy it to your company VertexFX  Local VTL Files folder i.e. C:Program FilesCompany Namevtl10Local VTL Scripts
• Restart your Client Terminal or Right Click on “Local VTL Scripts” Tree Node to find the script.
