The CoeffOfLine (Coefficient of Line) is a powerful VertexFX Indicator for trading shorter term market cycles. It uses median price, Simple Moving Average (SMA) and Smoothed Moving Average (SMMA).
Higher priority is given to recent prices and as a result when market starts showing a clear breakout, the indicator changes its direction pointing to change in cycle.
CoeffOfLine first calculates the sum of Weighted Moving Average (WMA) of median price for NDOT periods, and the sum of simple prices. These values are smoothed and divided by logarithm of the ratio to calculate the final indicator values.
BUY – Place buy position when the yellow line reaches negative extreme and starts to rise gradually.
SELL – Place sell when the yellow line reaches positive extreme and starts to fall gradually.
Usage
- Download the attachment.
- Copy it to your company VertexFX Local VTL Files folder i.e. C:Program FilesCompany Namevtl10Local VTL Scripts
- Restart your Client Terminal or Right Click on “Local VTL Scripts” Tree Node to find the script.
